Reflection on my first paper
My opinion of my paper on a personal experience: Learning to read is that it was a generally good story. I liked the approach i took when going about telling the story, which was a different route than others took when opening their papers. I started off by placing the reader in my mind set, describing to them what i was experiencing so they could vizualize it in their head. Although, in some areas the word choice could have been improved to make the story flow a little more than it did at times. My idea for this paper generated from reading through some topics and thinking about which one would suit me best. I started the paper off by brainstorming and jotting down ideas. I then took my ideas and created sentences which included my complete thoughts. When my draft was complete i had two peers review the paper. The feedback I recieved was positive for the most part, with some minor recommended changes in some areas. If i had to redo this paper i would not change anything about my final draft; if anything i may have choose to do a new topic.

My dash
My life so far has been a wonderful one. I've always been surrounded by kind, loving people who are encouragement to continue my life as it has been the past nineteen years-great. It is hard to name just one person who would be the greatest influence in my dash, but if i had to pick it would most definitly be my parents. I am an only child, so therefore my parents are and always have been my best friend in a sense. When i was younger despite the fact that i had many friends in my neighborhood, most of the time I would prefer to be with my parents. It's not that i lived a sheltered life or was antisocial i just always had such a great time with my parents when we went spent time together. From amusement parks, fairs, ice skating, and even snow tubing in the winter. We did everything together. My mother and father were the most fun-loving people i knew. They always made sure i was satisfied, while still encouraging and supporting me. Don't get me wrong though when it came to school and work, they were very strict. Like every parents school came first before fun, but even school never seemed to bother me much. This may have been because my mom almost made it fun for me, helping me study for every test by coming up with some little catchy phrase to remember. When it was time to do a project mine was always the best-thanks to her. Highschool came and went, and before i knew it i was here at Penn State-Berks. The day i moved in and said goodbye to my parents was surreal in a way because it seemed too soon. I finally realized that it was time to move on to better myself and continue to make my parents proud, just as they have made me my entire life.

A Gracious Plenty-What i think
When I was told that we would be reading a book in English 15 this semester my feelings were somewhat mixed. In general i usually am not a big novel reader, but if the story is good and catches my attention within the first couple of pages it is usually not hard for me to get into it quickly. When i read stories i enjoy reading about reality, life, and things i can generally relate to. I think that even though this story may not be totally non-fiction it seems very interesting and eye-catching. I hope that at times i can relate to the story and say hey, i feel that way too. That way even if the story is fiction i can feel as though just maybe this could happen in real life.
From what I already know about this story I believe that it will be a very good novel which i will enjoy
